About the Name

This is the idea behind me and everything on this page.

It all started sometime between 2014 and 2015 with my old account, Amphid, with the idea of creating various wallpapers and other artwork. If I go back even further, I would also include GIMP, which I used for the first time sometime in 2012. I uploaded a few of the results to my first Deviant Art account, but ended the whole project relatively early on. Then nothing happened for quite a while, until around 2023, when I started using AI to create various NSFW artworks, most of which ended up on R34 – but some also here. I've since more or less given up the NSFW part to focus on my other work, which I started with my new Deviant Art account. I wanted a clean slate, a blank canvas from which to start with new ideas and a better understanding of the technology I use. And because I've always been a very impatient person, AI is a huge help. It has given me opportunities I never had before. As for the direction my art is taking, I like to combine things, simple things – like flowers and glass. Hence the memorable name Fragile Flowers, just to name one example.

I'd also like to say something about my own name, Suspicious Smoothie. For me, choosing a (user) name is like a little adventure. You want to say something with it, create a name that doesn't sound too generic and sticks. I set myself two conditions for my name: two words, both starting with the same letter. So what could sound slightly unusual with these parameters? I settled on S, and the first word was also quickly found. Suspicious. That was exactly what I wanted. But what could be suspicious? After thinking about it a little more, I had it: a drink – a smoothie! It even starts with S. And so, in 2023, I reinvented myself, and “Amphid” became “Suspicious Smoothie.” Older, more experienced, and with lots of new ideas up my sleeve.

And that brings me right here, to this moment. In some of my galleries, especially “Fragile Flowers,” you can still see that things are evolving and changing.

I don't want to upload popular themes because everyone else is doing it. I want the things I upload to become popular.

Cause that's the Smoothie way.
